The location of the house is great for those that would like the beach, or for exploring the historical cities of Lisbon and Sintra and the medieval town of Obidos with its famous chocolate festival, held in February covering valentines day, they have wonderful life size sculptures in chocolate and the local liquor Ginja, which is taken in a chocolate cup which is then eaten, great fun and a fabulous place to be romantic.
There are plenty of golf resorts, Rio Major, Prai Del Rey,to name a few.
What about horse riding this can be done at the equestrian centre near to Obidos.
Surfing? Nazare is the place a short drive, 15 minutes, amazing beach and great sea for surfers.
If you don't want car hire costs, then come by train.Sao Martinho Do Porto has a rail line/station.
